• Oncidium sphaecelatum   varieties from Central American parents

• There are three distinct phenotypes as shown below.

        
"OS 2"                                   "lou thomas"                                   "G"

• All plants are grown in static liquid 1/2 MS medium with 2 ml PPM and are maintained at a 16 hr light period under 40 watt cool white fluorescent bulbs at room temperature.

• Plants being shipped will first be sorted for size (see below) and then rinsed in soapy water and packed in plastic bags containing supersorbent and 1/2 MS liquid  medium (without sucrose) and 2 ml PPM.  These will be placed in ziplock containers and shipped via Priority mail. 

• Plants  will be deflasked (removed from the culture vessels) and sorted by size.  The "Lou Thomas" series plants are shown here.  These get 1-3 inches tall with very well developed roots.

• The  "G" series plants get 3-5 inches tall in the large Combiness containers.  Pseudobulbs form in some of these.

• The  "OS" series plants get 3-6 inches tall in the large Combiness containers.
