Welcome to "Plant Tissue Culture
for the Classroom and Home". This interactive course was developed to help the
hobbyist, student, teacher, future commercial grower, and other brave people get a better
understanding regarding the concepts, terminology, and methods of plant tissue culture.
- This CD was developed using Netscape Communicator 4.61 and
is best viewed with that version. A free download of that browser is included on this
CD. Other versions of Netscape (4.5 or greater) or Internet Explorer (4.0 or greater) can
be used but some formatting may not be correct.
- Many files on this CD are only available in PDF format. You
will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer to read and print these files.
For your convenience, a free download of this program is also included on this CD.
- For best results, it is recommended that you view this
course on a 15 inch monitor with the following settings: color palette = true color (32
bit), resolution = 800 x 600 pixels, and font size = small fonts. If you have a 17 inch
monitor the following settings are recommended: color palette = true color (32 bit),
resolution = 1024x768 pixels, and font size = large fonts.
- Your browser's font size ("Fonts"
option available by left clicking "View" on your brower's menu
bar) should be set such that this line ends at the far..............right.
- You can proceed through this course in any sequence you
desire. To return to a previous page or a previous position, either left click the "Back"
key on your browser's button bar, or left click an underlined link (bookmark) within the
document.
- Underlined text found throughout the lessons provides either
off-line navigation within and between lessons on the CD, or on-line interaction via the
worldwide web. You do not need to be on-line to complete course materials.
- On-line interaction is through www.kitchenculturekit.com/onlinecd, which is a protected web site. See the sticker on the CD's
jewel case for your login name and password. Please store your login name and password in
a safe location, and do not distribute to others.
- With your purchase of this CD you can also subscribe to the
free Online Class Listserv described at the protected website. We hope you will interact
